One platform to keep the nation working

SalusBridge is absence case management software for UK employers. It connects employees, managers and HR teams, replacing fragmented systems with structured workflows that take every absence or adjustment request to a documented plan.

Why early action matters

The first weeks decide the outcome

Someone absent for four to six weeks has a 96% chance of returning. After a year, fewer than half do. Support given early does the most good, and costs the least.

What makes the difference

The Keep Britain Working report asks employers to act early, make timely adjustments and agree practical stay-in-work and return-to-work plans. Doing this consistently for every case, across any organisation, is the hard part. Most organisations have an array of systems and approaches for each step.

Where it breaks down

Absence policies rely on managers having the right conversation at the right time and keeping a robust, compliant record. Achieving that consistently across an organisation is challenging.

From early signal to managed return

SalusBridge replaces reactive, paper-based processes with a proactive, coordinated system.

1

Early Signal

Digital absence notification with automated alerts. No more missed check-ins or lost paperwork. Manager scripts on systematic and configurable dates.
2

Smart Triage

Platform powered recommendations identify the right support at the right time - OH, EAP, or manager-led.
3

Coordinated Support

Employees, managers and HR work from one record, with guided conversations and the employee in control of what is shared.
4

Managed Return

Return and stay-in-work plans with adjustment tracking and real-time analytics.

One platform

SalusBridge runs absence management, workplace adjustments and return-to-work planning on a case timeline in one place, rather than a stack of forms and different systems. From the first day someone is off, or the first request for support, to a documented return, every step has a structured workflow and a record.

Confident managers

Manager guidance and prompts arrive at the right time. Written for managers unsure of saying the wrong thing, with guidance changing as the absence progresses. Each check-in is logged.

Adjustments to keep people in work

Employees can request workplace adjustments at any time, at work or absent, answered within a set timeframe, with guidance on answering well. Agreed adjustments are reviewed, with reminders.

Returns that start well

A guided return-to-work interview when someone comes back, tailored to the situation, with actions, owners and review dates recorded and linked to the plan.

A plan for every stage

Return-to-work plans set out phased hours and duties, adjustments, a return date and review points, built on best practice. Stay-in-work plans support someone finding work harder, with named actions, owners and reviews, before an absence starts.

Privacy people can trust

Designed around UK GDPR and published ICO, DWP and EHRC guidance. Each role sees only what it needs, within privacy settings set by the employer and the employee.

A record you can stand behind

Contacts, plans, adjustments and decisions are recorded as they happen, with names and timestamps, in an audit trail. Audit packs export to PDF, Word or CSV when you need them.

Assumptions: UK 220-day working year; you choose the improvement; structured early-contact regimes such as the Netherlands' Gatekeeper Act are associated with significant reductions in long-term sickness and disability inflow; CIPD Health and Wellbeing at Work 2025 reports a UK average of 9.4 sick days per employee per year.
